Sayca Village Primary School
Location: Adana, Turkey
Year: 2022
Status: Ongoing

Planned for Sayca Village in Adana, Sayca Village School approaches education not simply as a program confined to classrooms, but as a holistic living environment where children can come together, create, play, and engage with the village community.
The project is shaped by a fragmented settlement strategy that responds to the natural slope of the site and the existing tree cover. Different educational and support units are arranged around a central shared space. Through this organization, the school takes on the character of a small-scale educational campus, with individual volumes connected by open and semi-open spaces rather than forming a single enclosed school block.
Sayca Village Primary School aims to offer children not only a place for education, but also a shared learning environment where they can build relationships with nature, with one another, and with their surroundings.
